This year, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (with his words, legislation, and actions) has done more to hurt public schools, strip teachers of freedom and job security, and limit the creativity and education of students than any public figure in recent memory. His reform policies have drawn the ire of union leaders, administrators, teachers, parents, students, and residents-- yet he refuses to back down.
Governor Cuomo hasn't responded to his critics. He hasn't responded to his constituents. He has ignored emails, messages, requests for explanation. Because of his actions, (as of March) Gov. Cuomo's approval rating has been dropped to 50% (his lowest). Let's see if we can't drop it a little lower.
