How Can I Help?

So-- you want to help shutdown Cuomo's terrible education reform.  THAT'S GREAT.  Here are a few things you can do (most of it from the comfort of your own home).

FIRST: Write your State Senator to demand he/she reject the governor's test-and-punish education plan.  Also, tell your State Senator to vote down Cuomo's proposed budget.

SECOND: Tell the man himself (Gov. Cuomo) how much you disapprove of his stupid plan (or his stupid face, or his stupid haircut-- or whatever).  You can contact him here. (SPOILER ALERT: He won't get back to you).

THIRD: Support NYSUT.  This may not do much pragmatically, but with all of this turmoil and negativity, I'm sure they would love to hear your support.  You can contact them here. (SPOILER ALERT: They might get back to you-- but they're pretty busy now-- what with the attacks from our governor).

FOURTH: Post this blog (or our Twitter page) on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, whatever).  In fact, get the word out anyway you can.  Write our Twitter name on your forehead and walk around if you'd like.

FIFTH: Go to our sticker page, get some stickers, and put them everywhere.  Put them up in Albany.  Put them up in New York City.  Put them up in Buffalo. Anywhere you can find a good teacher-- put up a sticker.
